TM/XML — Friendly Topic Maps XML Syntax

TM/XML is a Topic Maps syntax in XML which is much easier to process with XSLT and other tools than XTM is, because it creates a domain-specific XML vocabulary based on the ontology of the topic map. Even so, TM/XML is equivalent with XTM, and can express all of Topic Maps. TM/XML is ideal for use in conversion to and from Topic Maps, and also for web services.

TM/XML is currently only supported by the OKS, which can both export and import the syntax. The default file extension for TM/XML files is .tmx.
