Topic Map Project Kick-Start
The Project Kick-Start Workshop is a chance not only to learn about topic maps from
the experts but also to begin work on a topic map project with the
guidance of one of our consultants. Rather than "teach-and-leave", the
Project Kick-Start Workshop gives you the chance to learn basic and advanced topic
map concepts in three days of tutorials and workshops; put them to use
in a project; and then receive follow-up consultancy to ensure that your
project is successful.
The workshop begins with a one-day, non-technical overview of the topic
map standard and of the resources required to implement a topic map
application in your organisation. The following two days are a
combination of formal presentation and hands-on workshops with a focus
on creating a real-world solution. You will learn both the basic
concepts of the topic map standard and more advanced concepts to help
your project succeed. We then provide two additional days of
consultancy, which may be taken at any point within 90 days of the
original class - we will review your topic map and work with you to
identify opportunities to enhance the solution.
The Project Kick-Start Workshop is available in conjunction with either of the
following options:
- A 90-day evaluation license of the Ontopia Knowledge Suite.
- Space on the Ontopia server to store your own topic map and to browse
it with our Navigator web interface.
