Il trovatore



The opera Il trovatore(The Troubadour) was composed by Giuseppe Verdi to a libretto by Salvatore Cammarano based on El trovador by Antonio García Gutiérrez. It was first performed at Teatro Apollo in Rome (Italy) on 1853-01-19 and published by Ricordi. The opera is set in Aragon and Biscay.
