The opera Falstaff was composed by Giuseppe Verdi to a libretto by Arrigo Bo´to based on King Henry IV by William Shakespeare and The Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare. It was first performed at Teatro alla Scala in Milan (Italy) on 1893-02-09 and published by Ricordi. The opera is set in Windsor.
