Stiffelio



The opera Stiffelio was composed by Giuseppe Verdi to a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave based on Le Pasteur, ou L'Évangile et le foyer by Émile Souvestre. It was first performed at Teatro Grande in Trieste (Italy) on 1850-11-16 and published by Ricordi. The opera is set in Austria.
