OSLO, Norway, 11 August 2005 - Ontopia AS, creator of the Ontopia Knowledge Suite (OKS), the leading topic map engine, encourages the growing interest in topic maps by offering a 50% discount on licenses and support to academic and charitable institutions. Further, new Research Developer Licenses, are available to academic/research institutions conducting research into the use of topic maps on a support cost only basis.
Academic pricing is available to educational, charitable, and non-profit cultural institutions and is applicable to both developer and runtime licenses. The developer license, commercially available on a single user basis, may be used by all members of the group to which the license is assigned.
Ontopia has a growing number of installations in universities worldwide, including Norway, Canada, Korea, Denmark, Germany, and Czech Republic.
