Gr. 'topos' (place); see -IA.] I. An imaginary world in
which knowledge is well organized. II. A company that
provides tools to help you discover your own Ontopia.
On'topian, a. and sb. 2000. [see
prec., -AN.] A. adj. 1. Of or belonging
to the imaginary world of Ontopia or its people.
2. Unusually prescient or knowledgeable.
B. sb. 1. A native or inhabitant of
Ontopia; an employee of some Ontopia. 2. One who conceives
or proposes schemes for the perfecting of knowledge and information
management; an advocate of visionary IT reform. (Hence also
On'topianism.)
