Definition

A privilege is a right extended to a user or a role, which enables those users who have the privilege to perform a certain task or access certain kinds of information. (Privilege)
A role is a set of privileges that is extended to all users which play that role. A role often corresponds to a particular position or responsibility, but need not necessarily do so. (Role)
A user account in the system, possibly, but not necessarily corresponding to a person. It may be a group account and one person may have more than a single account. (User)
