- I went through a period in the early '90s when I listened to Schubert's Lieder a lot. I don't do it so much now, but I still like them very much, especially Winterreise. I've always been a bit put off by the first song in Die schöne Müllerin, but once I get past that I think it's wonderful. This concert was recommended to us by Jan Fredrik, for which we are very greatful. The young Norwegian baritone Johannes Weisser is indeed very talented, and his performance was both exhilarating and moving.
